Tonota FC Finishes Unbeaten!

Date:

The curtain has officially fallen on the 2025/26 First Division North League season, with Tonota FC completing a historic, unbeaten campaign to finish as deserved champions and underline their dominance across the entire competition.

Already crowned champions in the previous round, Tonota closed out the season with a 2–2 draw away to Enesia FC in one of the headline fixtures of Match Week 22 on 2 May 2026. The result ensured the champions completed the season without a single defeat, finishing with 15 wins and seven draws from 22 matches — a remarkable record that reflects consistency, resilience and quality throughout the campaign.

Tonota end the season on 52 points, scoring 36 goals and conceding just 14. Their +22 goal difference stands as the best in the league, while their defensive record once again proved the foundation of their success. Week after week, they demonstrated the ability to grind out results, manage pressure and deliver in key moments — traits that ultimately separated them from the chasing pack.

Enesia FC secured second place after their entertaining draw with the champions, finishing the season on 42 points. Their campaign gathered momentum in the second half of the season, and they end the year as Tonota’s closest challengers. Ndundu Young Fighters SC claimed third place with 39 points despite their final fixture against Eleven Angels FC not being played, while Tsabotlhe FC finished fourth on 34 points after defeating BR Highlanders FC 2–1 in the final round.

Sankoyo Bush B FC enjoyed a strong finish to secure fifth place on 31 points, thanks to a narrow 1–0 victory over Ferry Wonderers SC. BR Highlanders FC concluded the season in sixth place on 28 points after their final-day defeat, while Eleven Angels FC finished seventh on 25 points with a game in hand.

Ferry Wonderers SC ended eighth on 24 points, just ahead of JJ United FC, who finished ninth on 23 points after their final match against Mbalakalungu SC was not played. Mbalakalungu SC placed 10th on 20 points, narrowly avoiding the drop.

At the bottom of the table, Motlakase Power FC and Tshikinyega Tigers FC were officially relegated after finishing 11th and 12th respectively. Motlakase ended the season with 19 points despite a spirited 4–2 victory over Tshikinyega Tigers FC in the final round, while the Tigers finished last with 13 points.

As the league concludes, Tonota FC’s unbeaten championship run stands as the defining story of the 2025/26 season. Their consistency from the opening weeks to the final whistle has set a new benchmark in the First Division North League and secured their place in the history books as deserving champions.
