The Iconic Easter Weekend in Maun is gearing up to be a cultural and musical extravaganza as three high-profile events—Maun Easter Experience, Beach Affair, and Pretty Girls Love Good Music – All White Picnic Edition—promise to turn the town into a festival capital from April 18 to 20, 2025, throughout Maun.

From international headliners to homegrown talent, and from high-end picnics to beach-style parties, the Easter calendar in Maun is loaded with excitement for music lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike.

The Easter weekend will kick off with a bang at Maun Stadium as Minorah Entertainment brings back the Maun Easter Experience Season 2, headlined by South African powerhouse DJ Maphorisa. Joining him on stage are Professor, Juu Matere, Robotic OFC, and African Yard, this Friday.

Kilan Motswanage, the event coordinator, said securing Maphorisa was a major win for the community.

“Having DJ Maphorisa headline the Maun Easter Experience is a significant milestone for both the event and the community,” Motswanage said. “His presence not only elevates the profile of the festival but also attracts a wider audience, including international visitors.”

The festival promises a blend of global and local sounds, designed to appeal to a wide spectrum of fans.

“We aim to create a festival experience that combines star power with local flavor,” Motswanage said. “This approach not only supports local talent but also enriches the overall festival experience.”

Motswanage added that safety and logistics are top priorities., “We are collaborating with local law enforcement and emergency services. Our goal is to create a safe environment where everyone can enjoy the festivities without worry.”

On Saturday, the spotlight shifts to Cresta Riley’s for the vibrant Beach Affair, curated by Havana Promotions and featuring two headline acts—Aymos and ATI, at Cresta Rileys. Marketing and Event Coordinator Peggy Grynberg said the lineup was chosen to strike the perfect chord with local and regional audiences.

“Aymos, with his soulful Amapiano hits, and ATI, with his infectious energy and local appeal, are set to deliver performances that will resonate with both local and international audiences,” she said.

Grynberg emphasised that the event is evolving, “This year’s Beach Affair marks a significant milestone in its evolution,” she explained. “The lineup has been carefully curated to cater to a wide range of musical tastes.”

Attendees can also look forward to a full-day experience, “There will be food stalls, a dedicated bar area, art installations, and a marketplace showcasing local crafts,” she said. “Security personnel will be stationed throughout the venue, and we’ve partnered with local authorities to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.”

The long weekend wraps up in style with Pretty Girls Love Good Music – All White Picnic Edition, hosted at Lunar Gardens and headlined by none other than Kabza De Small, April 20 at Lunar Gardens.

According to Godwin Kennedy Sebina, Director & Brand Manager of ~Exzozo Entertainment, the event is a celebration of women and elegance.

“Pretty Girls concept is all about centering women entirely, to give them essence of positive self-esteem about themselves, making them appreciate that every woman is beautiful in her own way,” Sebina said. “White expresses purity, innocence, cleanliness, and a fresh start. We need to protect women at all costs.”

On bringing Kabza De Small to Maun, Sebina credited long-standing relationships.

“I have a great relationship with South African artists and management companies built over years,” he explained. “If you recall, he started the first edition at Royal Aria Stadium and he’s briefing fire and guns blazing to Maun.”

He assured fans of a secure, high-end experience, “We are going to ensure high security level—two checkpoints before entering, no weapons allowed, dogs, horses, marshals patrolling in and outside,” he emphasized. “This is an event of class, elegance, and high-end clientele.”

With three blockbuster events, each offering its own vibe—from stadium-scale spectacles to beach-side beats and luxury picnics—Maun is undoubtedly the place to be this, Easter. Whether you’re dancing to DJ Maphorisa, vibing with Aymos and ATI, or swaying to the sounds of Kabza De Small under the sunset sky, one thing is certain: Easter in Maun will be unforgettable.
