Sankoyo Bush Bucks has beefed up its squad with the signing of two foreign players during the current transfer window for the second round of the Debswana First Division North League 2024/2025 season.

The duo of Robert Manyanga (attacker) from Zambia and Uaraa Hangara from Namibia (defensive mildfielder) who are currently awaiting their work permits will be joining Ngurungu on a one-year contract each.

Sankoyo is currently recruiting local players in order to strengthen its squad as they are reported to have lost close to five players at the end of the first round of the league due to various engagements.

Ngurungu is on seventh position with nine points from the seven games they have played so far this season, registering four losses and three wins.

Coach Letsogile Mothowaeng has told Times Sport that their plan is to build a strong and competitive team in order to remain at the top of the league standings. Mothowaeng has stated that his team has conceded more goals during the first round of the league therefore it was important that they resolve the issue. He said that the team will be resuming its training sessions this week as they prepare for their games.

Mothowaeng who was appointed as Sankoyo Bush Bucks Coach during the commencement of the Debswana First Division North League 2024/2025 season had previously indicated that he aims to implement unique coaching philosophy by bring in new style of play and tactics that can lead the team to the premier league. He said that he is confident that the boys will make it to the premier league as they were well prepared physically and mentally.

Mothowaeng had expressed that they also played pre-season tournaments in which they played very well and managed to rectify their mistakes. He revealed that getting into the new season the team had signed about five players and released about three players. Mothowaeng further noted that it requires team work between the technical team, management and the supporters in order for Bush Bucks to make it to the premier league.

As the team gets into the second round of the league, Mothowaeng has pleaded with the community to support the team as that is the easiest way to raise morale within a team. He also urged the supporters to attend their games in large numbers so that they can be able to raise funds for the team through entrance fees as they are currently facing financial constraints.
