Pose And Pour Collective Returns To Fuel North West Creativity

Date:

The Pose and Pour Collective is witnessing a surge in growth as it prepares for its third edition on 2 May, aiming to bridge the gap between hidden talent and commercial success in the North West. The platform serves as a collaborative hub for models, fashion designers, musicians, and artisans to promote arts, culture, and innovation. During a press briefing this weekend, founder and musician Gaekgonwe “Miss Gee” Lesego explained that the initiative was born out of a necessity to provide shared resources for struggling local businesses.

Lesego noted that the struggle within local creatives is rarely a lack of talent, but rather a lack of shared space and collective growth. She emphasized that many talented young people remain hidden because they lack a suitable platform to enhance their skills or foster professional partnerships. This sentiment was echoed by diverse local stakeholders at the briefing, including Miss Botswana 2026 top five finalist Kimberley Kotewa, who highlighted that the program is vital for grooming Maun-based talent into international professionals.

The creative community has rallied behind the initiative, with artist Robinson “Rob Mo” Morris and fashion designer Lebosegang Moyambo noting that the collective provides a rare marketing lifeline for startups. While the passion within the region is high, Morris pointed out that local creatives still face a lack of satisfactory support, making this year’s milestone particularly significant for the industry. DJ Ephraim “Ej” Carl further urged partners to come on board, envisioning a future where Maun’s creatives compete on global stages.

The road to the main event is already underway through a series of high-energy activations. Vetavi Marenga, Director of Vetalier Operations, confirmed that a model parade was recently held at the Old Mall, with a final promotional event scheduled for the Mall of Maun this coming weekend. The main showcase on 2 May promises an immersive experience featuring poetry, choreography, and a live band, with all participants dressed exclusively by Pose and Pour fashion designers.

As the collective eyes national expansion, the community is encouraged to attend the festivities at the Cresta Hotel. Tickets are priced at P180 for adults, which includes free drinks, and P100 for children, which includes snacks. The third edition is bolstered by a growing list of sponsors, including Airport Hotel, Mall of Maun, Acunet Holdings, and Prestige, all working together to ensure a lasting legacy for the region’s arts scene.
