Date:

With 10 games remaining before the 2021/2022 Debswana First Division North League comes to an end, Maun Terrors remains dangerously stuck in the relegation zone.

Coach Tizhani Kangangwani‘s boys seem to be fighting a losing battle as they continue lose every week.

Kangangwanii however remains confident that they will not find themselves in the second division come another season.

After their recent defeat against Sankoyo Bush Bucks, Terrors remains in the relegation zone with only eight points from 12 games they played. Terrors, at positioned 12 on the log has only won two games, lost eight and drew two.

Kangangwani remains hopeful that the team will come back with a bang, to survive relegation.  He further submitted that lack of preparedness ahead of the games, owing to unavailability of players was the reason the team was performing poorly.

“Some of our players are employed, therefore they could not attend training sessions on regular basis,” the coach highlighted.

Terrors suffered a 1-0 defeat against Sankoyo Bush Bucks last weekend at Maun Stadium, a loss the coach attributes to the team’s failure to utilize chances they had during the game. He indicated that during the last minutes of the game his players were exhausted and could not concentrate. Kangangwani added that they will work on creating more goal scoring opportunities to avoid the mistakes they encountered during their previous games.

“During the first round of the league we managed to win Sankoyo Bush Bucks because we utilised the chances we had to score,” said Kangangwani

Terrors looks to secure three points from Tafic SC in their next away game to be played this Saturday (26th March) at Francistown Stadium.
