In the quiet corners of our communities, there are young people, gifted, bright, and full of potential, who sit in silence, carrying the weight of rejection, unemployment, and broken dreams. Many are school dropouts, others are jobless youth simply longing for purpose, but all of them carry invisible wounds. Hands of Grace was born for them.
This is more than a project. It is a faith-based mental health and rehabilitation movement, a response to a divine calling placed upon my heart to serve through healing and hope. It’s an extension of my work in mental health and community support, grounded in the belief that transformation is possible when we combine occupational therapy with love, skill-building, and spiritual empowerment.
Hands of Grace targets vulnerable youth aged 18 to 35, creating a space where they can learn basic sewing skills, culinary arts, and hairdressing, all while receiving mentorship and emotional support. It promotes peer-to-peer teaching, community volunteerism, and most importantly, restoration of dignity.
As a mental health practitioner, I’ve seen how purposeful activity heals. This is the power of occupational therapy — to rebuild a sense of self through doing. It’s not just about stitching fabric or braiding hair, it is about stitching lives back together, strand by strand.
Through this centre, we envision a safe, Christ-centred space where faith meets practical growth, and where youth can arise, healed and whole. We invite you to partner with us as a donor, mentor, or volunteer. Together, let’s place our hands in God’s, and in turn, extend grace to those who need it most.
“Hands of Grace – Stitching lives with purpose, one soul at a time.”
