Cresta Maun Hosts ‘Ladies High Tea Party’

The second edition of the ‘Ladies High Tea Party’ event returns this year at Cresta Maun Resort featuring five notable local female speakers who will take centre stage inspiring and engaging with attendees.

The much anticipated classic event which is set for Saturday 25th will be held under the theme, ‘Sisterhood Post Corona Pandemic.’ As March is the International Women’s month, organizers of the event, Cresta Maun Resort are using it to also celebrate all women in style.

The event usually attracts women from all walks of life, dressed for the occasion and looking forward to mingle and learn from each other. The party is always all about glitz and glamorous memories. Dress code for this year’s edition is- high tea outfit (Doek/Hats).

Those in attendance will be treated to some tea and munch on delicious assorted sandwiches, delicious dainties, both sweet and savory as they engage in conversations while enjoying a mesmerizing live musical performance by the ‘Malebeswa’ hitmaker and songwriter, Lizibo.

The high profile speakers for this year’s event are Hannah Lecha, Bonolo Nthoiwa, Tebogo Nhlatho, Cookie Keitebetse and Dr. Didimalang Sekoko Biorn.

Lecha is a multidimensional Transformation Coach who is certified with the Maxwell Leadership team as a Leadership Coach, Speaker & Trainee, and also the Managing Director for LAHA Hotel in Maun.  Hannah is a holistic wellbeing advocate who believes that prioritising the well-being of individuals and organisations can transform the way people work and live, thereby creating a more positive, productive, and fulfilling world for all.

Nthoiwa, a motivational speaker and talk show host for both TV & Radio, a certified Family and transformation coach. She is a seasoned Botswana Qualifications Authority approved Trainer offering short courses recognised by the Human Resource Development Council of Botswana. Nthoiwa is a charismatic Radio and Talk Show Host, and is currently the Presenter of The Family Show on Duma FM.

Nhlatho, Founder and COO of Doctors Inn Health and Leaf Base Holdings is an award winning entrepreneur with over 15 years in business. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy an also a Mandela Washington Fellow, a Stanford Seed Transformation Program alumni. Nhlatho, a mother to a child with disability prides herself in embracing the unexpected life and giving others hope.  She is passionate about empowering women to live successful impactful lives.

Keitebetse is admitted as an Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public. She holds a Bachelor of Laws(LLB) from University of Botswana, and currently a Risk Management Candidate. Cookie is also a Law lecturer at Ba Isago University, and Founder of Nuggets of Law blog.

Dr. Biorn is a Clinical Psychologist with specilisation in Disaster Psychology from the University of South Dakota through the Disaster Mental Health Institute. She is a training specialist and a Humanitarians well as AfroBotho Founder.

Cluster General Manager for Cresta Maun & Cresta Rileys Dr Seth Mongwaketse stressed that the event is meant to celebrate women on the International Women’s month. He noted that women play a pivotal role in the society so they are bringing them together to celebrate their struggles and success through a get together in the form of a high tea party.

Mongwaketse assured that this year’s event will be unique and more interesting from the inaugural one which had attracted over 230 women. “This year we have female speakers of different specialties to motivate other women,” he told The Weekender.

The General Manager added that there will be corporate stalls by other business stakeholders to showcase their products and sell themselves to attendants. An entry ticket is P250 per person sold at Cresta Rileys and Cresta Maun Resort reception desks for the event that will be held from 1700-2100hrs.
