- Chobe Holdings Limited, through Chobe Impact sponsors initiative to reform character and boost results
Tsodilo Junior Secondary School, in partnership with Chobe Impact—a subsidiary of Chobe Holdings Limited, has embarked on an intensive five-day boot camp for its Form 3 cohort. Launched this week and running from April 7th to 14th, 2026, the programme is held under the theme: “Building Skills and Reforming Character.”
According to school authorities, the initiative aims to instil discipline, build confidence and teamwork, and develop problem-solving skills. The camp is also designed to enhance students’ physical and mental fitness as they prepare for future challenges.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr Gaerolwe Masheto—a Tsodilo JSS alumnus from the Class of 1994, called on students to prioritise their studies. He warned that bad habits lead to negative consequences and reminded them that the future of the North West region lies in their hands. Dr Masheto encouraged students to use education and the internet as tools for research to help change their families’ backgrounds.
North West Regional Education Director, Kegodile Mahudinga, echoed these sentiments, urging students to study hard for better results. He noted that education is the cornerstone of success and encouraged the cohort to make decisions that will lead them to become responsible citizens.
Tsodilo School Head, Galalea Ntshonga, stated that the boot camp is about transformation and “mindset change.” He described the camp as a platform for students to think differently, push beyond their comfort zones, and gain life skills such as leadership and resilience.
“We strongly believe that education is not only about what happens in textbooks, but also about the experiences that shape a child’s mindset and values,” Ntshonga said, encouraging students to be curious and share ideas boldly.
Chobe Impact Manager, Ibo Madandume, noted that Chobe Holdings is committed to improving academic results in its adopted schools, which include Tsodilo JSS, Sedie JSS, Mathiba I Memorial, and Letsholathebe II Memorial Primary Schools. He reminded the Form 3 students that they have only five months left before their final examinations.
“You have the responsibility to make the decisions that determine your future, and you have five months left to make a turnaround,” Madandume challenged.
Mosalagae Setofane, Chairman of the Leaders Boot Camp Training Institute, added that the programme focuses heavily on character building. He noted that the camp will specifically address issues of indiscipline at the school, including vandalism and drug and alcohol abuse, in an effort to shape a better future for the students.
